Just a quick note I haven't forgotten about this. I'm planning to merge it very soon. @turekg and I are almost done with a conservative pom-scijava release, after which we'll merge this PR and work toward a more comprehensive BOM update.

I got stuck on one loose end for the pom-scijava release (reconciling the newest imagej-ops and imagej-scripting components), then went on vacation, then came back to some server-related tasks and other fires which took my time. It's still high on my priority list to get pom-scijava 28 (minimum reconciled BOM) out the door, immediately followed by pom-scijava 29 (updating many components to latest release, plus new components including N5).

Apologies that this took so long. The pom-scijava 28.0.0 release is out, so I'm moving ahead with all the new additions and version bumps to get everything updated to latest for version 29.
