Records the 2026-07-26 round of the regime-split epic in the child prompt files:

  • multi_galaxy_package: features/scaling_galaxies, fit.py and the workspace_test jax_likelihood variant landed; likelihood_function mirror consciously scoped down to fit.py; real J1011+0143 swap-in blocked from cloud sessions (MAST 403 via proxy — needs a local/unrestricted-network session).
  • group_halo_explicit_choice: three-tier start_here landed — main tier is 2 galaxies (the 0.36" companion promoted from the extras catalogue after image inspection), with the image-derived scaling_galaxies.csv for the real Euclid dataset.
  • docs_three_regime_restructure: all planned RTD edits landed (overview_1, api mass/point/galaxy notes + CSV-catalogue section, model_cookbook recipes, New User Guide flagships).
  • split_lensing_regimes: child index annotations updated to match.

)

The follow-up filed at the end of the stale-jax-pin ship bundled two different
jobs and sized too-large (score 11) against a declared medium. Split per hard
rule #3:

- active/run_smoke_per_script_timeout.md — bounded, now ISSUED as
  autogalaxy_workspace_test#108 and registered in active.md.
- draft/research/workspaces/intermittent_smoke_hang_jax_mge.md — re-homed from
  bug/ to research/ and re-sized large; the open-ended half, left in draft.

Investigating the timeout task changed it materially. It is not a new feature but
DRIFT: autolens_workspace_test's run_smoke.py already implements the per-script
timeout (PyAutoHands#226/#227) at 193 lines, while autogalaxy, autocti and autofit
still carry the un-capped 113-line copy. Those three are identical in code —
differing only in one docstring paragraph — so it is one diff applied three times.

That also explains the hang's asymmetry: autolens would have capped mge.py and
carried on; autogalaxy had nothing to stop it and ran 59 minutes silent.

Sizing overridden to low/direct against the Feature Agent's large/phased verdict,
which was formed on the pre-investigation draft. Recorded in the prompt with the
reason rather than silently ignored.

…3 doc scope

@PyAutoCTI#108 takes option 1 on the serial-EPER zero-width region: test-only,
pins today's raise so main goes green, leaves the clip-vs-raise semantics
question open. @PyAutoCTI#107 merges after it.

pylops is defunct (human-authorized), so #107 now removes the whole "optional
requirements" stanza rather than just the pynufft line — the same green-CI
evidence covers both.

All three legs (3.12, 3.13, no-jax) pass with the vacuous serial-EPER assertion
replaced. #107 merges after it, once its branch picks up the fixed main.

Merged 2026-08-24: @PyAutoHands#259, @PyAutoHeart#162, @PyAutoCTI#107, plus
@PyAutoCTI#108 — an unplanned test-only fix for a red CTI main this task walked
into (autoarray's #440 shape_native guard exposing a vacuous serial-EPER
assertion). All four green on every leg at merge; all four branches proven
merged with 0 unmerged commits.

Closes the residue sweep: phases 1-2 shipped 2026-08-23.
