GitHub button not working on start page

• GitHub Extension for Visual Studio version: 2.5.6.4513 and later
• Visual Studio version: 2017

What happened

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open up VS2017 and go to start page
2. Click GitHub icon

Expected behavior:
Clone dialog or sign in dialog to appear

Actual behavior:
Nothing happens
