TypeError: 'in <string>' requires string as left operand, not bytes

Steps to reproduce:

1. pip install adb pycryptodome rsa

2. Run the following Python commands:

   from adb import adb_commands
   from adb.sign_pythonrsa import PythonRSASigner
   from adb.adb_protocol import InvalidChecksumError
   
   serial = '192.168.0.74:5555'
   adbkey = '/home/jeff/.android/adbkey'
   
   signer = PythonRSASigner.FromRSAKeyPath(adbkey)
   
   conn = adb_commands.AdbCommands().ConnectDevice(serial=serial, rsa_keys=[signer])

Error message:
