Improve Debug Python File in Editor Menu

This issue will cover the changes in the Debug Python File button:

1. Fix the error mentioned here.
2. Add new button that run the debugger using the launch.json config.

I'm still getting this issue.

The "Run and Debug" view works( as well as the F5 key) with the default " Python Debugger: Python File" ( basically, launch.json has no entry for this). But debugging through the Run button doesn't do anything and nothing is showing in the "Python Debugger" output

Ditto. Issue persists in on macos (14.3.1, apple silicon)

If .vscode/launch.json exists in the working directory, nothing happens when clicking the run-in-debugger button at the top right of the file panel. ...no error, no response, nothing.

If I simply change the name to ~launch.json, it works again

@czuba Thanks for the info, I will check out if your hack to see if it works for Windows as well
