Add depth/breadth first search algorithms to recursive readdir

Continuation of #34992 and #41439

This feature will add specific algorithm support to the upcoming recursive readdir feature I'm working on in #41439

What is the feature you are proposing to solve the problem?

The api should be extended to include a new parameter to the options object with the type:

{
  algorithm?: 'depth-first' | 'breadth-first'
}

I've already stubbed out tests for this feature based on the early work in #41439 see this fork-branch for more details:
